With a qualified Naval Architect on staff, here at AMS we can assist in designing your dream boat or assessing your exisiting vessel for compliance. We can also carry out stability testing on a range of different vessel. All to ensure your safety at sea.

Initial Design

We have the capability of designing vessels, both recreational and commercial, based on your brief. We'll sit down with you to discuss whats important to you and provide feedback on how to meet safety standards without compromising on your dream.

We'll also design those modifications to your exisiting vessel to ensure they meet the required standards.

While specialising in Aluminium and Steel designs, we also design vessel in FRP and the emerging plastics.

Design Assessments

Are you looking at getting an existing vessel into survey or changing class. We can assess your current vessel designs against the relevant standards and provide a report of their compliance.

Stability

To ensure the safety of your crew and passengers in a range of operating conditions we can assess your vessel through practical testing and calculations to the relevant standards.

We will test and issue Australian Builders plates for recreational vessels all the way through to Comprehensive stability books for commercial vessels.

We will also perform lightship checks and practical incline testing onsite.

3D Modeling

If your looking to getting a better idea of what your dream boat might look like we have the capability to bring your design to life in 3D.

This process will also enable us to issue a pre-cut file and nesting, turn your design into a kit boat with pre cut parts and panels.

With 3D modelling we can also assess your design for stability and performance.
